About TSC

Born and raised in Enfield, North Carolina, I can’t really tell you where the nickname “Toot” came from, but some years later, that’s still my name. You can call me Demetrius. Enfield is where I learned about southern BBQ. Growing up butchering meat, working the land, and watching my Dad, uncles, and brothers around the grill, I learned to respect the art of BBQ while adding my own personal touch. I come from a large family with 8 siblings, so creativity in the kitchen was a must! And today, as a husband and father to 8 children, I use those lessons, and I must say I haven’t lost my touch.

From cooking whole-hog onsite to catering, competitions, and private chef services, I am a well-rounded cook who just enjoys the atmosphere of the kitchen and the grill. When I am not experimenting in the kitchen, you can find me hanging with my family. I love a good party, love the Cowboys, and I never meet a stranger.
